Lifeboat

Lifeboat quietly keeps a local copy of what you type into forms in Chrome. If a page crashes, refreshes or logs you out, open Lifeboat and get your text back, earlier versions included. Your text never leaves your computer. Recovery is free. An optional $3.99 one-time supporter pack adds four extra boat themes, the Helm controls and the Ship's Log.
