Before you launch
Questions, answered
What makers ask before they launch here. More on How it works and Pricing.
FAQ
- Will anyone here actually use my product?
- Most people on FuelFeed are other makers, so think of it as a place for feedback and visibility, not a sales channel. You get makers who open your product and answer your questions, reviews on your launch page, and a launch page that stays up after your launch. Paid tiers also get a followed link to your site. FuelFeed doesn't promise customers or sales.
- What does a free launch really cost?
- No money. Your launch needs the FuelFeed badge on a public page you own (your site, a GitHub README, or your personal site) for its first 30 days, and we check it once a day. Its website link is nofollow. Paying once, from $9, skips the badge.
- Does paying guarantee a rank?
- No. Fuel raises your launch’s score 1 for 1, whether you earned it or bought it, but buying fuel or a tier does not guarantee a rank, visitors, or feedback. Fuel can always be bought, and the boards never hide that.
- How fast does my launch go live?
- Right away. You paste your link, we fill in your launch from your page, and you check it. A free launch goes live as soon as our check finds your badge, and a paid launch goes live once your payment goes through. If it goes live late in the day (UTC), you can make tomorrow its launch day, so it gets a whole day on Today.
- How long does my launch stay visible?
- It is on Today until midnight UTC on its launch day, on This week until that Sunday ends, and on This month until that month ends. For its first 30 days it can get feedback and you can add fuel to it, and its launch page stays up after that.
- How do I earn fuel?
- By helping other makers: answer their questions, review and comment on their launches, and upvote the ones you like. Then add the fuel to your own launch. Every way to earn, with its limits, is on How it works.
- Who runs FuelFeed?
- Róbert N, a one-person studio (Lucency) in Iceland. Payments go through Polar, our merchant of record. Write to support@fuelfeed.io with anything.
